As I prepped my face to apply the Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation in the color S104, I thought to myself,”Is this foundation really as great at it claims?” My question was answered with a bold yes as I applied it with just my fingers, it gliding on effortlessly, giving me an entirely full coverage. Skin Veil completely illuminates and seeps right into the skin, without the appearance of a heavy looking foundation. I actually found that it hardly looked like I wasn’t wearing any foundation at all-that my skin was just giving off a healthy glow all on its own.
I decided to do an experiment. I applied the Skin Veil and paired it with a cream blush, and a bit of concealer under my eyes. I then skipped the powder, to see how it would look on my skin throughout the day. I found that my face did become quite shiny, but as somebody with oily skin, I expected that. Unless you’re wearing a cream to powder or a liquid to powder foundation, you are most likely going to get shiny or dewy looking results if you choose not to apply a powder or some form of primer. Although, I was happy to see that the foundation looked just as it did when I had applied it in the morning-minus the shine!
I would definitely recommend the Skin Veil to anyone. It leaves just such a luxury looking finish to the skin and a little use of it goes quite a long way. You can find it at Pink Dot Beauty Bar here!
